What did you want to be when you grew up? I personally had all sorts of dreams.. firefighter, veterinarian, famous actor.
But somewhere along the way, our dreams change. We get told growing up that certain things are more possible than others, that we should “be practical”. And so the self-doubt and second-guessing goes, and we start to let go of those big dreams and we modify them to something “more obtainable”.
Even as adults when we have big, fantastical ideas, it seems like someone is always there to criticize it. Most of the time, that person is ourselves.
So how do you combat that nasty little voice of self-doubt? How do you get to that point where you feel better dreaming big again and really pushing yourself?
Hypnosis is a great way to start. It bypasses that critical mind that we’ve all developed and helps you boost your confidence and motivation. There are other ways to silence that inner critic, too. Affirmations, meditation, doing things that really fuel your creativity and feed your soul. When you start believing that it’s okay to dream big, you will.
It’s time to tell yourself that it’s okay to want more, to push yourself, and to strive for the “impossible”. Nothing is impossible. You can be whoever you want to be if you are focused and keep motivated to achieve your goals.
Never be afraid to dream big.
